Darren, I'm starting to think that it is impossible to overwater them in the ground as long as the drainage is good. Your HH look a lot like mine. I love your Brassy Blonde and, of course, the ladybug.

Erny you make an interesting point. Last year I was struggling with mine so much with constantly yellowing leaves and dwindling bud production. The slightest amount of water was a problem. Once I got the feeding right and added the HVH Booster (potassium nitrate) that all went away and now it is like you said for the most part. I still have a few that are sensitive to over watering but I think it is due to their root systems dying down a lot last year when I was under watering everything with all those yellowing leaves.
What really has me intrigued is that after 5" of rain my potted plants are showing no signs of overwatering. Again I wonder if the more gradual soaking of natural rain action (even when heavy at times) is what plant's are geared for compared to our quick hitting water sessions? Much to observe and learn still - I wonder if this very dry winter was detrimental to my potted plants as their soil kept drying out from the very low humidity and warm temps that lasted for over 2 months?
In this case it means more work though as I would have to water my potted plants more often but with smaller amounts. At least you don't have to worry about that!

Starting the 3rd week now (21st day) for the hibiscus hummingbird chicks. They are growing exponentially now!

Darren, I can see why you had a hard time choosing which Prosperity photo you liked best. They are all great. Looks like the chicks will need to leave the nest soon. Dapple Dandy has become one of my favorites. Look at the great form this flower shows on day 4 or 5. A new bloom on Lady In Waiting today. Also Luminescence, Tahitian Sophistication, Rosalind, and Jeanette Elliff.

After the third pic they decided that was enough and they both took off in front of me for their maiden flights. A big clumsy but enough to get them across the yard in different spots. I caught up with one on the porch. Later it was on my Scarlet Beauty plant - we chilled there for some time enjoying the warm sun on a beautiful day. A wonderful way to say good-bye!

Darren - I loved watching the saga of the hummingbird chicks. You must have felt like a proud papa when they took their first flight. That Bon Temps bloom is one of best that I have seen and your Prosperity is something else. Simply marvelous.
Erny - Great to see all the blooms at your place. Love your Dapple Dandy and Creole Belle and Dragon's Breath are two of my favorites.
Things are starting to pick up here after all the rain. Had my 1st bloom on Cindy's Heart (one my favorites) since last summer.
