Great pics!
Paul, your wild grape looks really different. I am thinking it might be something else, it looks alot like Night magic. What does the bush look like?

Chris, here are some pics of the Wild Grape 6" plant. I think the blooms resemble Wild Grape where the white spots/streaks are concerned. I have noticed that if a plant blooms right after I receive it (spending 3 to 4 days in a box with no light and God knows what other conditions), it usually looks very different from what it should. I have a second bud that will open in the next day or 2, so it will be interesting to see how different (or similar) it will be.
Also going to repost the same picture of the day 1 bloom along with the day 2 bloom that I haven't had time to post until now. (That way it will be easier to compare the change in the bloom 24 hours later without having to bounce back a few forum pages.)

Wild Grape has red pads which makes me think yours might be a different cultivar.

Some more blooms for me from the past couple of days. Polar Bear day 3 bloom, High Voltage, and day 1 and 2 pics of my first Star Dust bloom (which by the way, has the most "fascinating foliage" of any hibiscus I have seen.)

That's true. I didn't think to look for that. Whatever it is, it was a beautiful bloom! LOL

Paul your mystery bloom whatever it is is very pretty! Also Star Dust is just gorgeous - definitely living up to the online store pic. I believe that is the first one ever posted online.
John your Wild Grape is fabulous - so clean and distinctive. How is the bush on that one?
John P those Vivacious twins look very intense. I would love to see some more shots as the blooms get on throughout the day.

Paul, I had exactly the same experience with my first Wild Grape. Charlie decided that it was likely Night Magic as Chris suggested. I didn't mind as the Night Magic is a really nice flower and the bush is excellent, so I just ordered another Wild Grape at the first opportunity.

Thanks Erny. It does look a lot like Night Magic. Chris believes it could be Night Magic too, which I am perfectly fine with. It's a beautiful flower and bush.
