Speaking of videos here is one I shot last summer of Rainbow Sherbet opening, the second link is for Magic Crystal.  I shortly thereafter got banned uploading videos to Facebook due to music copyright violations.  I hope I can start again soon, need to check up on this...

Bright hope is probably one of my favorite bright spectrum CVs.  I know longer can have overall favorites, so now I have to categorize them based on color type.  Haha

Not too many blooms lately as I have been having alot of pods set.  Those seeds have been harvested and things look to be budding up again.  Braveheart gets a big thumbs up from me.  Interesting colors that change throughout the three days the bloom is opened.  The plant is tall but branches alot after it gets some height, which is great for placing towards the back of the grow space.  Not a huge flower, but solid 6 inches most of the time, also sets seed very well for me here.

Chris I like the way you classify the bloom categories.  I highly recommend for you Rodeo Drive - the eye is nearly black and huge.  You would have a lot of fun crossing with it.  Your Braveheart looks great with those dark and wet colors.  I hope you get a lot more blooms soon!

Today I got my first Time For Love on my 6" plant and it is a stunner!  This cv is really something special to bloom with these colors and pattern - great job Charlie!

Erny had mentioned a few days ago about some flowers being more photogenic than others.  I find there are some like Luck Be A Lady where every shot comes out different.  Not sure if that is not being photogenic or just the tech within the camera but it does mean taking a lot of shots and then just picking the one I personally like the most.  Here is a series of shots...

Darren or Erny, I am thinking of getting a plumeria. Is Daisy Wilcox a good choice for beginners?
Thanks

John - Daisy Wilcox has very large, fragrant blooms in clusters and from what I've read it is easy to grow so great choice to start with.  My Celadine Plumeria is also very easy to grow and has all the same characteristics as DW except no pink lining in the blooms so maybe DW is better just for having more color.  I like a more lush looking plumeria tree so they need to have abundant and large leaves at the branch tips to avoid that stick look.  Celadine's leaves are dark green and glossy too as it seems with DW.  Many plumeria leaves are more pale and no shine to them at all...

Here are a few shots from right now of the lush look from the leaves, the clusters of blooms and finally an underside shot so you can see how it hides the branching which most plumeria do not do.

I think plumeria and hibiscus work perfectly together as over time the plumeria provides a nice shade canopy for the hibiscus underneath and they don't need much watering as will the hibiscus underneath since they have a lot of shade.
