The blue ballerina I have at work in the self watering pot seems to be doing fine. Last week I noticed the new leaves felt soft. The pot has been drying out for weeks. I watered it last week and the leaves are still soft but they are not wilted. Are the leaves soft because of the leaves ?

The leaves look shiny and they are not drooping over.

Leaves vary quite a bit naturally. If they are not wilted I doubt that there is a problem.

Charlie I think i found out why the leaves are soft !  Just a few mins ago at my desk the leaves felt soft again and it was getting some nice sunlight for about 3 hrs. Now that the sun is gone the leaves are not soft and seem stronger.

Does Blue ballerina like a lot of light ? or does it prefer shade ?
