Darren, all my plants are in pots along my backyard fenceline and the sunny corner of the house. Also, have a few along the walkway to the front door. The walkway gets morning sun and the corner of the house gets late morning and early afternoon sun. The fenceline gets mostly afternoon sun and the far corner of the fence gets late afternoon sun that is somewhat dappled by some large pine trees. I am still in the process of moving plants around to find the best sun condtions for each CV. I'll look thru my summer/fall photos and post some of the different views. By the way, loved your photos of Exuberance (one of my favorites) and Prosperity (have a small one that isn't blooming yet). Had a number of blooms Wednesday and couple more should open Thursday and will post them Thursday or Friday. Hope the cool weather coming in doesn't put a damper on things.

Darren, I'm starting to see better size and coloration as well. After about 2 months with nothing to show, I'm starting to get blooms again . Nothing like a week of 85 degree temps to kick start the garden. Two different looks for Dapple Dandy, Valentine's Day, Vin Extraordinaire, Velvet Illusion, and Summer Shore.

Wow! Your guys blooms are amazing. I attached Night Runner's second bloom. Keep posting the color!
Ed
And yes Darren, Night Runner is an unusual plant. It decided to shoot a random branch out horizontally. I am using zip ties to keep the plant in check.

Bill that is a lot of work to be moving them around and trying to figure out where they seem to be happiest. So far this weather system seems pretty tame with nothing too cold - it is actually wet outside for the first time since Dec 19. Being you live on the LA coastal plain I think you are safe to plant some of your hibiscus in the ground. Have you considered it? The difference will blow you away and Erny & I have lots of experience to help out if you feel you want to give it a try...
Erny!!!! Great to have you posting again, that was a long stretch for sure. Your blooms look like they haven't missed a beat though. So very pretty! You had it tough this past two months with a lot of wind which is really hard on the hibs. I have been very fortunate to not have even one wind event this entire winter so far. There I just jinx myself...
Ed that Night Runner bloom is extraordinary. That should be a state flag or something. I very much look forward to mine arriving in June...

Some of the blooms you are posting has me thinking about new wishlist plants. I wanted to add this photo, as it is one of three grow areas in our town home we have converted to winter these beauties.

Awesome, my first HVH bloom, let alone first one for the year! And it's one of the much younger plants I only got a couple months back, so it bloomed way earlier than expected. Nice way to start off the new year.

Ed that is exactly why this forum is so helpful. Sometimes just one online store pic doesn't do these beauties justice.
Teh Yoshi that is a really nicely colored first bloom - which one is it? Kind of reminds of a winter version of Burnt Saffron.

It turns out that hibiscus are not only attractors for hummingbirds but a habit for them as well. I found this today inside my Valentine's Day plant. I am blown away...
