Wow Bill, that is a lot of blooms as Jonathan states. Impressive and nice to see that the colorations look similar to some of mine like Black Dream. If I remember correctly you live in La Mirada? Not too terribly far from me. Hey you're pretty close to Erny if that is the case.
It is finally supposed to cool down end of this week with possibly some rain so I am curious to see if this has any effect on the mass bud up I am seeing on my hibs. I hope not, the blooms are really starting to gain some color and size this week.
Venus Rising is very impressive along with a hypnotic Sea of Tranquility

Unfortunately I am starting to see Scale on various hibiscus bushes for the first time. I wonder if the exceptionally warm winter has anything to do with it. This will be a pain as I have to manually remove each one at a time...

Darren I do live in La Mirada, so we are in the same neck of the woods. Wow, love your Venus Rising. Things are slowing down here but I did have a nice Miss Congeniality open today (Tuesday) and a few others close. Hope the warm weather Wednesday does the trick because it looks like we are in for a cool spell. Because we are in the same area, I have used your photos and write ups to help me decide what hibs to order. I was able to get Dapple Dandy, Luminescence and Flickering Flame at the end of last year and have Island Queen and Cosmic Gold coming this spring along with some others. I read that you ordered a Night Runner. The one I have started as a small 4" plant that I moved into a 6" pot and moved it around until I found a spot that it really liked (full afternoon sun) and it bloomed like crazy often with twins and once with triplets. The flowers were almost as big as the plant!!! It's not the greatest bush, but the blooms make up for it.

Bill I am glad that my posts and write ups were helpful to you. I know for me it really helps to see what others are getting with certain CVs to know how effective I am being with my approach to taking care of them as well.
I am curious if you have any planted in the ground or if they are potted?
Well today was one heck of a bloom day here as I had somewhere near one hundred blooms. I started with 165 photos and have done my best to edit that down....

Heavy Metal looking insane today with 5 blooms! I still miss the white spotting on the edge that it gets in summer but these are very nice too.

These are probably the best Prosperity blooms I've had yet - I find these to be exquisite!
