Hello everyone,
I'm sure we are all ready for spring to arrive in full force. I have had all of my hibiscus indoors under grow lights since October. With the warmer weather just around the corner, I am looking forward to moving them back outside. I know when I have ordered new plants in the past, the instructions said to slowly get them acclimated to the sun over the course of several days in order to avoid sun burned leaves. I have also read the section on this website about sunburn.
My questions are:
- How long does it usually take hibiscus to adjust to direct sunlight in order to avoid sunburn, and will it take longer for my plants which have been indoors for several months, as opposed to a plant that has been grown in a greenhouse and then shipped in a box devoid of light for only a few days?
-Is there an easy method to doing this with several plants? For example, moving them all outside when it is going to be cloudy for several days? Or can I use a tarp to block the direct sunlight after exposing the plants for a few hours each day? Or am I just going to have a daily hibiscus parade from indoors to out, and back again?

Thanks for any input!
