Thanks Darren, the sun went in and I managed to get a better picture and have changed it.Cosmic Gold is still giving me the odd second day bloom at the moment which helps, that will stop shortly but I am ever so pleased and my friends are amazed.

David, you have certainly mastered the art of growing hibiscus in pots. Great job.

Doll, I forgot to mention how beautiful your pic was. With the light yellow and the white rays so bright it reminds me of Moon Goddess

John your Rainbow Sherbet looks just like mine did in December.  I haven't had a bloom since but a lot of buds falling off instead.

How big is that bloom?

Darren, this bloom was 7"
It opened yesterday morning when it was 39. I didn't think it would open with it that cold. Sorry to hear yours is dropping buds.

Thanks to David, Darren, Norm, and Doll for the wonderful pictures. If someone had told me a year ago that I would be logging onto an internet forum and looking at flowers to get my kicks, I would have thought they were nuts. But it is such a pleasure that it has become the first thing I do each day. I wish I had more to share but here are a few from today.
Black Dream, Cherry Ice (the first bloom I have had from this one), The Path, Living Legend and its bush, and two lonely blooms on Haut Coutere fighting their way out through all the leaves.

Thanks John but don't feel sorry for my Rainbow Sherbet it is doing just fine.  It has produced a whole new crop of buds so if the weather can continue to be warm I should have some blooms in a week or two.

Erny your plants are looking great.  Your LL has a lot more color than mine has been showing lately.  Very nice!

David I was just thinking today about how amazing it is that all of these plants can be shipped in a box from CA to Vietnam for probably over two weeks inside and be able to survive.  That is amazing in itself and then to see what you've been able to do with them this year is a whole other thing too.  BP is still one of my ATF blooms.

Remember that VD bloom that you liked a lot that was real orangy?  Today was it's 10th day and it looks like it has a lot more mileage left too.

Thanks Darren. Living Legend is one of my favorites for its great bush and consistently perfect presentation of its blooms. I do prefer the spring and summer colors however. Your Rainbow Sherbert bush looks fantastic. I was able to count over twenty buds in the picture and I'm sure there are more that can't be seen. I'm looking forward to seeing a picture of it in full bloom soon.
