Thanks Erny ,I have 5 different types and only one loses its leaves, problem is because of this rust problem I had to strip them all bare, still I suppose it lets you see the blooms better. |

Thanks Farmer D!  Not bad for an indoor girl, eh? Growing 'biscus indoors, I'm always surprised by the technicolor bloomers, too (I think it's that they just LOVE their HVH Houseplant food!) |

Deb, I think your photos of Fox Fire are the first I've seen of that variety outside of our greenhouse. I like the contrast with the white H arnottianus. For Fire has a shiny look that is hard to capture in a photo - kind of a glow. It's a Creme de Cacao by Night Magic offspring. Thanks for showing.

Deb, beautiful pictures of Fox Fire and Bienvenue.
Temp down in the high 30s to low forties last night in Orange Co. Only a few brave souls today: Haut Coutere, two Love story, one double and one with just a petaloid, Me Oh My Oh, and I caught this hummingbird feeding on Banksia Prionotes (member of Protea family).

I have several other species of Banksia, a few Protea, and a couple of Leucadendron and Leucospermum. My King Protea (Protea Cynaroides) has several large buds ready to pop. I'll try to post some pictures tomorrow.

My Cosmic Gold today is looking its best, and today of all days to have 8 blooms showing is wonderful. I say wonderful as today is the day here in Nha Trang where many thousands of plants are bought ready for the Lunar New Year, of course that means little to me but my Viet friends are in raptures and think a great sign of good luck, 8 blooms and Gold will mean very lucky next year.
