Just because they are growing in conditions perfectly suited for them doesn't mean they don't have their issues as well....
No one around to do aphid patrol but when the plant has all the other things it needs naturally I guess that's when nature is in balance and good old cohabitation is the law of the land...

Here is a pretty bloom from Kauai in 2006. Looks very much like Cindy's Heart but I know it's not.
Funny thing this was way before I got into hibiscus yet here I was taking pics of them already. The seeds had been planted long ago I guess...

Some more random blooms from Hawaii through the years...
Check out the leaves on this hibiscus. The shopping mall used it for a hedge, pretty different...
