I thought it might be interesting to see what seedlings everyone is growing. I know Kristen has a few Cindy's Heart seedlings and Louis has some Wild Grape seedlings.

Seedlings I currently have are:

1 Cindy's Heart x Cile Tinney
3 Cindy's Heart x Enlightenment
1 April Showers x Wild Grape
10 Wild Grape x President

Hey John D, those sure are promising. It will be interesting to see how the genetic dice roll with them!

Kerry, that is an amazing list. It is going to be fun when we start seeing blooms from some of our crosses.

I just got 2 of the 3 seeds to sprout off of a Cindy's Heart pod that was crossed with The Path.  The Path pollen was frozen as well.  (when I write the cross, I put the mothers name last?)

Voodoo Magic x cajun blue
Tiger's Eye x saffron
Saffron x Belle du jour
Saffron x Cindy's Heart

I also just got some seeds off of
Cherry Apaloosa x Saffron
Black Dragon x Saffron
but Im running out of room, so I haven't decided whether or not Im gonna grow them out myself or not.

I really am looking forward to seeing blooms from those Cindy's Heart crosses.

I also have 7 Red Flag x Brilliant seedlings now. Not sure what crossing 2 reds will result in.

Kristen the mother or pod parent goes first and dad is last

I did like 30 of my own crosses looks like 10 or so took . The first ones I did was with older pollen but that was a FAIL lol Its too dry in CA to try to store pollen. All the fresh pollen looks like it took on each cross.

For hibiscus hybridizing protocol think of the X as meaning "pollinated by". So it is Saffron X (pollinated by) Belle ju Jour.

Haha, I know you told me before... sorry about that.  Well, above is then backwards.  So flip it to get the right cross...  haha
