We finished May with a bang on the forum. Super photos and good info from lots of people and a new record of almost 114,000 pages opened by visitors during the month.
I'm up early on June 1 so will start the new photo of the day topic with:
Fifth Dimension - an old favorite shown here with orange edge before turning yellow. I grafted some of these recently.
Vin Extraordinaire - a slightly different, very tufted look on a second day flower
Tea And Crumpets - a new one that has been opening big 8 inch flowers recently
Wild Thing - rare and unusual flower with very heavy petals, parent of Heartbreak Hotel
Too Pretty - a simple but heartwarming flower
Hoping June is kind to all and brings forth many flowers!

Some Thanksgiving blooms to look at. Charlie, this one blooms nicely. I didn't know if you noticed, (probably did) but the pads are quite interesting on this one. They are bi-colored. In all my year of tropical hibiscus growing  I have never seen this. Is this unique? And for David, my Desert Rose that is in Intensive care. It has been bald for months. Now it has plenty of new growth and 2 flowers on it! Yay! |

Jordan thank you for sharing pics of Space Oddity. That cv is a lot of fun as it changes appearance so easily.
Doll those Cindy's Heart blooms are very pretty. The colors are so well defined and jump out at you.
Charlie love the pics. It seems that Fifth Dimension is a popular choice for hybridizers. What qualities are most important to you and what does FD bring to the table for you?

Luv luv cindys heart kristen...thanksgiving is really pretty....heres a few blooms from the last couple of days...Lynette...Delta rose I think is a dupont that I got at a local nursery...charlie do you know much about this one??

Pretty wild viewing my own garden pics without being the one who took them. Awesome job Kerry. How fortunate I am to have someone from our own forum taking care of the hibs.
Kerry I love HBH which I'm guessing is Heartbreak Hotel. Also your RB is amazing.
Lynette your blooms are beautiful too especially Dancing Dragon and Deep Waters.
DayveDayve your Seminole Pride and NightRunner both have such deep color - beautiful.

Sharp eye there, Kristen. I think I've seen similar before but never matched them to a specific variety. I'm very glad you documented this with photos (awesome, btw) and made note of this so we can consider it as we see new varieties in the future.
