Author Topic: Yellow stem and bud.  (Read 9076 times)

What causes a stem and then bud to turn yellow and eventually  fall off, or even if left stay on the bush till it all dies I have had a lot lately, I even have it with 1 bad stem next to a healthy stem.

The first picture shows how the stem seems to turn from green to yellow first and the second is of a bud and stem that was healthy 2 days ago and is now sure to die.

I think the cause may be stress related but what stress I dont know, and strange how its not every bud.

David, I had a couple of those this spring when I was doing the hibiscus dance... (you know, New england weather, bringing them in, bringing them out.....)  I think that mine were caused by some stress.
