Another Real Mystery

This plant has been blooming in the greenhouse lately - very bright and pretty flower with some similarity to Acapulco Gold but it's not AG. It could be a seedling but I doubt that it is - I just can't place it. It looks familiar but my best guess is that it is not my hybrid and is something known in Florida, TX, etc. Anybody recognize it?

Those two pop up often in the Tx and La hibiscus shows.

Yeah, those have the right color mix but I don't think either is a match. I have June's Dragon and at least at my place it has an edge but not the wide yellow edge this flower has. JD is usually larger, too. My photos of B Gold do not show the distinct dark red eye nor is it as eye popping bright as this flower. I thought of Concord which is similar but once again no distinct dark red eye.

Other guesses?

Could this be one of the tahitian varieties you have?

It looks similar to this Tahitian Lion King pic (i think its from nina's webpage) I looks like there is more white veining in this pic, but the colors seem about right, and the amount of tufting.

Did we ever figure it out?  Its very pretty.  I like the one Chris is showing too, very ruffily!

I never did figure it out but Chris's suggestion may be on the mark. I did get a some wood from Tahiti a few years ago and this might be one.
