Help for Wind damaged Hibiscus

Help!  Our home owners association decided this year to plant 6 ea. Red(don't know what kind) 3 gallon Hibiscus on each of our islands at the entrance to our subdivision.  All the plants had severe wind burn and were dehydrated.  When the Landscape committee saw them were upset!  They knew that I love Hibiscus and most of the folks saw mine last year and loved them. They asked me  to "do my thing" on these poor plants.

Never having dealt with 3 gallon plants that were now planted in our nasty flower beds, I could only do what worked last year for me in my HVH flower beds.

I have given them several watering's using HVH Fe rt/SuperNova/6%iron/HVH Hibiscus Booster/SuperThrive  as a "cocktail". Each plant gets a gallon at a time, and twice weekly.  After the first week I trimmed all the wind burned leaves, and any other damaged foilage.  They seem to be responding, but what else should I be doing with these larger Hibiscus to sustain them thru the summer and make them solid plants?

Sounds like a good program, John. Maybe not enough water to really get them going. For sure too little water shortly, when it warms up even more. Are they supposed to survive on rain water or did they provide for some irrigation?

They are watered twice a week on our "watering days", and then of course I will supplement that as required
