Which Cv's flowers last the longest ?

I was going through the list of CV's at HVH and saw Pink Delicious 5 days blooms !

Cindy's Heart: 4-6(!) days

Up until this week i have never had any cv last longer than one day.Now we are having some very strange weather here and the temperature has dropped to 75F and suddenly La Coquette bloomed for 3 days and All that Jazz is in its second day.The problem is i am not sure if they are blooming longer because of this cold spell or its due to Special Blend and Supa Nova which i have been using for a month . Time will tell as no doubt it will be roasting again soon.

My best multiple day bloomer has been First Lady consistantly looking good 4 days blooming in the house during winter and 2 days, sometimes 3 in the summer greenhouse. Other reliable 3 day bloomers during the winter inside for me are Acapulco Gold, Heaven Scent, High Voltage, Lady Cilento, Love Story, Palm Springs, Rainbow Sherbet, Rosalind, and Saffron. The blooms of most of these look good for 2 days in the summer greenhouse with the exception of Love Story which barely lasts one day in summer.

Cindy's Heart is still at the top of my wish list.

Temperature and other environmental conditions have a lot to do with how long they last. Even so, some varieties last consistently longer than others if all else is equal so there must be some genetic determinant of this trait. We became excited about Cindy's Heart when we saw 4 and 5 day blooms in summer on a plant in our garden in a location that gets no shade during the day. That was impressive! Doubles open slower than singles and several of them seem to last longer, too, like Pink Delicious. Her Majesty is one that sometimes opens so slowly that the side of the bloom that opens first loses color before the side that opens last (often takes 2 days before the whole bloom is open). You end up with a bloom that is darker on one side and lighter on the other but lasts several days.

We'll have to watch how the newest ones do this summer. More later......
