Pastel Hibiscus

Everyone seems to want to breed only bright colored or dark colored Hibiscus. I think the pastel colored Hibiscus are special to me.

A few that comes to mind are :

First love ~ Charlie I think you and Cindy come up with awesome names. I hate pink flowers and the color pink, but this CV is probably my first true love for a pink hibiscus lol. I am seriously thinking about getting this one for my aunt or bf's mom.

I actually like pastel colored hibiscus too. I should be getting P's Purple in the mail this week..can't wait.

There's a hibiscus plant peeking over a wall not far from my house. In the summer it has the most gorgeous pastel salmon colored flowers, in cooler weather the colors are much brighter. I took a cutting a year ago and got one flower late last summer. I'm not sure what it is, it has always reminded me of First Love (I've been flirting with getting this CV forever)

THANK YOU for this comment, Kerry!!!!!!!!  I keep telling Charlie the exact same thing. He only wants the vivid colors, and I tell him I like soft peaches, lavendars, soft pastel colors!  He thinks I'm weird and no one else will like what I like. I can't tell you how many times we've had this discussion!  LOL  So thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL Chris no I only have love for like 3 pinks Lady in Waiting , Belle du jour and First Love hahhahaa

I got foxy lady only because its parents and it will be at my aunts house soon  

and Cindy your welcome lol I think some of them are unique. I prefer browns and purple/blue colors. The brights some times get on my nerves ( i don't even know if that makes since but I mostly buy only brown/blue spectrum with some reds that look black)

Hibiscus flowers are sort of like dogs - for every one there is someone who will love it!

I learned early on where flowering plants are concerned not to impose my taste on anybody. Cindy and I are a perfect example. We like a lot of the same ones but both of us have other favorites that are not shared.

We don't offer First Love very often because it takes a long time before it blooms. It has to get big first and not everyone wants a big hibiscus around or to wait so long. However, I did have a seedling last year that has similar colors of pink and white that was First Love x Blue Ballerina. This one showed a good bush and budded up early. A couple of photos are attached.
