My "Valentines Day" bloomed .....and it was spectacular! I just got this plant in the late fall, just as the cold weather was setting in. It was a little thing, about 10 - 11 inches, in a 4" pot. I've kept it in the 4" pot and protected it from the cold, gave it fertilizer and lots of TLC all winter long. Last week, it rewarded me and bloomed for the very first time. The bloom was bright, vivid and a whopping 9". I couldn't be more pleased. It has another bud ready to open in the next day or two (I can't wait). Sure wish I knew how to post pictures so you all could see. Kathleen

I guess Spring is finally here. After going all winter with nothing worth posting, it's like someone threw the switch on a few days ago and the flowers starting popping out in near normal sizes and with better colors than seen in winter. Bright Hope is one of my favorites. Also Dragon's Breath, Tahitian Sophistication, and Acapulco Gold.

Erny great to see your blooms are up and running! We missed you on here and glad to see you're back with the blooms!
Jen those are some healthy plants you got there! Can't wait to see their blooms as well!
Okay - here comes one huge catch up session. I must say that we did not have a winter at all and this was probably the hottest March I ever remember having here in 43 yrs. I am already starting to see lots of summer colors.
I think I just upset most of the country after many of you have suffered through one of the roughest winters in years. Thank God spring is here!!!!
