Wet pollen?

Just wondering  if anyone has tried it, my thoughts are if it is moist, it has a better chance of being able to catch and pollinate. If anyone has done it, please let me know. I'm just getting my first valentine's  day  bloom this morning I took it to work, and crossed the pollen with that big o e in the hospital  lobby. I did a wet test and a dry one, I'll get them marked in a  minute or so  be neat to see results.
