Question about systemic fungicides and contact fungicides

I spray on a rotating basis Bayer 3n1, Orthene, and Spinosad on all my hibiscus and roses. This time of year is the only time of year my hibiscus get fungus on the leaves.  Most of the leaves die off every year and all I have left is the new shoots coming out. I have 2 questions:

1. Is Bayer 3n1 effective as a fungicide if there are very few leaves on a plant? My guess is it wouldn't be if there are no leaves to take up the fungicide.

2. I use two contact fungicides for my roses, liquid copper and Daconil. Are these okay to use on hibiscus?

Hi Bradley,

You are probably right about 3n1 not being effective with no leaves. Here in southern CA hibiscus have few problems with leaf fungus after it warms up - I mostly use fungicide in the fall and winter to discourage tip die back.

Liquid copper and Daconil (fungicides) are not harmful to hibiscus.
