Bill I'm glad you like Sizzle. I purposely have it in a shadier spot to see more of the colors and boy is it something! Your Funny Voodoo bloom is really a killer!
Erny I am glad you are getting more and more blooms. I really believe we need to get you some major sprinkler action going on with your planters - especially being they are south facing and getting baked by the sun all day long. The more I water my plants (and feed them accordingly) the better the are doing.
One thing I realized lately is that coming from a tropical gene pool they want a lot of water then they need a bit to let it drain like the natural soils of tropical locations. Heavy bouts of rain then lots of quick drainage with what is usually a more rocky volcanic soil in their natural climates. So I have the sprinklers on every other day and that seems to be the answer here.
Always ready to come over and help out if need be!

Incandescent with it's second bloom and I really like what I am seeing. This one has a ton of personality and should get more dramatic as summer approaches.

Erny - I'm kinda in the same boat as you. Many plants with one or two blooms at a time due to fact that mine are all in pots and smaller in size. My goal is to have a wall of plants in bloom forming a profusion of colors. That's a really nice Silver Dragon (I just got one in my delivery from HVH last week) and Creole Belle is one of my favorites.
Darren - Fantastic colors on your Climax and Hot Southern Nights!!!
Browns my not be everyone's cup of tea but I really like the colors on Funny Voodoo. Had my 1st bloom on Frappuccino and blooms on Romeo, Whirligig and Caribbean Passion.

The many different varieties that are being posted on the forum is getting more impressive each year. Its great to see the HVH varieties being grown all around the US and world. Cindy and I thank everyone who has taken the time to share their flowers and photos! Some people have told us that they miss being able to see all the varieties that we have sold over the last few years since the only ones that can be seen in the online store are the ones that we have in stock for immediate sale. To fix that Cindy has updated the Hibiscus Gallery so that now over 700 hibiscus varieties are visible all the time. You can reach that page through the Photography section by clicking on "Hibiscus Pics" (see the navigation on the left side of every page). Or click this link to check them out http://www.hiddenvalleynaturearts.com/catalog.htm The "Charles Black Cv's" page (also under Photography) is still way out of date but we plan to add several hundred of the newest varieties to this page sometime this summer. Here are a few taken in the HVH greenhouse the last couple of weeks.
Darren, the first one you might like as it is in the Hot Southern Nights class but is even brighter - its called Hot Diggety Dog.
Then we have a new one named Tarzan that I hope to have more of in the near future.
Finally, one of my favorite older varieties that deserves to be out there more than I have managed to make it available - Crinkle In Time

Bill your Frappuccino bloom is fantastic! Great colors combo on that one!
Charlie a big thank you to you and Cindy for making this all possible here as well as creating such wonderful plants. It makes such a difference that you carefully select those to keep based on performance as much as looks. That takes a lot of discipline to do...
Charlie how did you know I would like HDD? I need to view that one with sunglasses on - Holy Smokes!
