This is one unique bloom that is just spectacular in person to see. I hesitated on getting this when it was available last year and of course waited until it was no longer available. Luckily I was able to find it this year on the internet but was wondering if HVH has any plans on selling this one again?
I really like this CV a lot. The little 4" I got in April has grown quickly, has lots of new branches forming at the bottom and mid section of the plant and blooms frequently. The blooms range in size from 6-8" but what I am very impressed with is the quality of the blooms. Always excellent form and really pretty how the inner bloom is smooth and then gets rather ruffled towards the edge. Best of both worlds.
Then there is that dark burgundy eye that sometimes is close to black. What a color combination to go from that to a bright magenta and then a really pale creme bloom with streaky magenta veining. Got this one on my porch and everyone always comments on it saying they never knew flowers could have such colors.
I believe it is also the flower pic used for the online store multi-colored blooms link.
Enjoy the pics...

Of all your new cv's Darren this is my favorite, Surf city coming a close second. I never thought about the more softer pastel colors before but if I can find a way to buy cv's again Rodeo Drive will top my list.

I think you hit the nail on the head concerning the pastel colors. I was so obsessed last year with getting all the bright colored CVs that I kept hesitating on this one. Big mistake!
The bloom has such great form, very sophisticated shape and eye color. I hope you're able to one day add one to your awesome garden.

I'm on my second Rodeo Drive plant, this time I planted it in ground instead of a porch pot. Growing steadily and really likes to put out the blooms on a consistent basis even thru winter. Very rich, deep colors!

Darren, your Rodeo Drive is absolutely beautiful. I've wanted that one for several years and missed it the last time it was in the store. I didn't put it on my wishlist as I figured there wouldn't be anymore. Hope Charlie decides to propagate a few. I also recently lost my Surf City and have been informed there likely won't be anymore of that one.

I remember when Darren showed his first one which was lovely, but the new one seems even better.

I think it's a lovely flower, too. I wish the bush was stronger and more vigorous so we had more wood to work with to propagate it. Ah well, I spotted a plant of Rodeo Drive yesterday and plan to take some wood next week.

I agree that this second plant has better blooms which I attribute to a much better soil this time around and not being planted in a pot. It has been a steady grower so far so I can't complain about her vigor so far and a solid bloomer too!
That big dark eye from Rainbow Christie keeps me mesmerized....

As time goes by the bush on Rodeo Drive is becoming more and more impressive. What is interesting is I have it planted in a very thin planter on my driveway - maybe a foot wide for the soil so that makes it even more impressive. It is also a very hot spot so that should bring out the colors to their fullest. One impressive bloom!
