I recently purchased these two plants within the past 3 weeks, both were very small.  What I have noticed is the DD is growing like wildfire, yet the VM hasn't really grown any new leaves but is still healthy looking.  Is the DD a vigorous bush while the VM is a slow grower?

I have to add that these plants were not purchased from HVH. Our smallest hibiscus in 4 inch pots are usually quite large and vigorously growing. I also prefer not to comment on varieties that I don't grow like Delta Dawn but I have grown a lot of Voodoo Magic and while it is not an upwardly vigorous grower a healthy plant of it will grow lots of side branches on an 18 inch tall bush and then bud up amazingly well.

Delta Dawn intrigued me too, so I am also trying this CV out.  I will let you know how it does for me, but with parents Renaissance Blue x Gabriel, I bet it will be a good bloomer and grower.

This is probably the most accurate picture I could find of Delta Dawn.

The second picture is of a seedling that is Delta Dawn x Nightmare, interesting flower to say the least, looks like a dusty Pinot Noir
