This is one fine plant. This is the first bloom for me on this great looking bush. The flower is 9 inches in diameter. Bush is very compact and looks great.

Yes, James Bond is coming back after selling out in January. Not sure exactly when it will be offered though.

Thanks for the update and pic Charlie!  I didn't even remember seeing it in the store in jan, there were too many other distractions Smiley  I hope there will be a few ready before my order is shipped this spring Smiley

I also noticed that elegant lady is one offspring from James Bond, have you gotten any other interesting seedlings using him?

Happy Superbowl Sunday! (how is this not a holiday yet?!)

Meteor Shower is another one out of James Bond - pod parent Moonstruck. Meteor Shower turned out very large (some blooms 10 inches though not all) and is one of my favorite new ones. We did have a few Meteor Shower for this update but decided to move them into 6 inch pots and make them available when they are budded up in June (best guess).

Thats a really unusual result of having two dosages of Rainbow Christie genes.  No dominant dark eye!  I really like Metor shower alot!  Hibiscus always have something new and interesting to show us.

I hope that you can get some James Bond going by spring, is it an own root or grafted CV?

I was also curious if you had any more pictures of Fly Me to the Moon, I am really happy that I was able to snatch it up and have a feeling its much nicer in person than the photo shows Smiley

Thanks again Charlie Smiley

OMG Louis , That is so pretty. I was looking at more photos of your james bond and I am blown away. I also saw pictures of your prosperity. You really know how to get the best colors out of your cv's. Your prosperity was really rich in color as well as the James bond  Smiley

Chris, I thought James Bond might need to be grafted after a slow start rooting it but eventually managed to root the current group.

Fly Me To The Moon (Moonstruck x Rockets Red Glare) is also big at up to 9 inches - here's the other photo of it you requested.

Wow Charlie,

Thanks alot for the pic of FMTTM, it looks like its quite striking.  If the bush is compact I think I will be in hibiscus heaven with this one.  I am really digging the unusual colored as well as the blues and browns.  They are really striking up here, I dont know if its the cool weather, high humidity or the water, but something is making these blooms amazing.
