Love that pink veining! Looks like Charlie spilt Pepto on the seed pod and it stuck!  What color!

Incredible colors, Chris! I'm glad it bloomed as well as hoped for. Why it is so hard to get this type of flower on a good bush I do not know, but we'll keep trying.

BTW, that seedling of yours Rosalind x Burnished Gold finally bloomed and it was better than I thought it would be based on the unopened bud. This is a plant in a 4 inch pot so it is not likely to be typical for size which in this case was only a 4 inch double. But, the colors were excellent - almost evenly divided between orange and yellow. I guess you could say that it is an orange flower with lots of yellow/gold stripes and markings. It is being transplanted to a 2 gallon pot now and we shall see what the blooms do once the plant matures more.

Charlie, I did not expect CDLC to be so vivid.  It is on day 3 and the form is as perfect as ever.  I collected pollen from it and have some buds on:  Geronimo, Rain drop, Cosmic Gold, and Burnt Saffron, I hope to cross it with.

Thats great to hear about that seedling!  Did you have a chance to snap a picture of it?
