Hi Charlie,
I just wanted to give you some feedback on this cultivar. We have been very happy with it and the depth of the hot pink/magenta center against that bright yellow is really special and today is the 6th day that the 1st blossom has been opened, just amazing...

We really need to get a Digital Camera and start posting pics!

Staying open for 6 days is awesome. All I get is one. We didn't have a spring. Jumped right into summer here. It's been in the 90s for over a week now. I've had several blooms so far on mine.

I wasn't born in Texas, but I got here as fast as I could.

Hi Doll,
We were shocked on the amount of time the bloom lasted. We are in somewhat of a unique micro climate in a canyon with temperatures a little below the surrounding areas and our yard is shaded until mid morning and again late in the afternoon. We typically see brighter colors, longer lasting blooms and in the case of Rosalind we have wonderful color singles, but have never had a double.

Our Compassion is similar to yours in color, but the hot pink/magenta is dark and Intense all the way to the yellow edge with the edge being a bright yellow creating a great contrast.

Lastly, we have experienced a few Moon Goddess blooms in the last couple of weeks that resemble HVH's very cool weather pics only brighter, so bright in fact they more closely resemble Heavy Metal.

I really need to get a camera  Embarrassed
