Hi Charlie,
I am trying to figure out the plants I will order this year. Do you think you will have any Aztec Treasure this year?
thanks again

Probably not this year for new ones. Coincidentally, an older plant of Aztec Treasure was blooming today in the greenhouse. I really like the flower and maybe can get this older 8 inch plant ready for this year. Check again in a couple of months and I'll let you know how it's doing.

There are just too many beauties around! I really like Aztec Treasure, the other stand out cup and saucer in my eye is Anasazi maiden. Really love that one, still waiting for 1 gallon sized plants, since I remember reading its a slow grower and takes a bit to get blooming.

Chris, my experience with Anasazi Maiden has not been that great. I love the flower but the plants don't live very long. I think they need perfect conditions to thrive in and any stress is very hard on them. What to do with those like that? Probably shouldn't offer them but sometimes people like the challenge and sometimes they want the flower if only for 2-3 years. My goal is to have so many great flowers on good strong bushes that it won't even be an issue in the future. ah well..........

Charlie thanks for those comments. It is one that I really like the bronze orange of the flower, but where I am now, is probably more stressful than most tropicals want to deal with. You just need to breed a new CV with those blooms and great bush

Hi Charlie,
I just noticed Spice Island. I really like the way the flower changes as the weather changes (including some spotting.) Is this one a better grower and perhaps easier to get than Aztec Treasure?
