Tamibon, how pretty! Dale Dubin, who hybridized Tamibon, sent me wood off the original seedling plant about a decade ago. I loved the flower and eventually grafted up several hundred plants of it that were grown in 2 gallon pots for Armstrongs. But, in our greenhouse the growth was rapid and the plants got floppy and the flowers hung downward too often. It's better grown in cooler conditions so that it strengthens as it grows and does not grow overly fast. Big, pretty flowers - I haven't seen one in awhile. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Charlie.  I was hoping for more information on it.  This is one of the three hibiscus that got me going on this wonderful hobby/addiction. It was purchased in 2004 along with Erin Rachael and Aztec Sun.    Erin Rachael is the best all around performer of the three. This plant has actually grown slowly and steadily for me and has formed a nice looking compact bush.  I've had some blooms as large as 10 1/2 inches, but as you say sometimes the blooms do hang down but they can be spectacular.
