Yes, that's the one. Tomorrow I'm pretty sure several will be offered. I need to get a new photo of it asap since none that I have are very good.

Charlie, what is your own experience with that one? I would like to see a few photos, if possible.
I have received some wood last autumn, and she has started blooming now. Bloom after bloom, she keeps being strange, in form and color.

Nina, my experience was mixed. The plants were grown from Dupont liners and struggled the first year - perhaps they were overpotted in the 2 gallon (about 8 liter) pots. However, once they got some size they started growing very well and this summer (2nd summer) they grew into a very uniform group of plants that are all well branched, upright, and very full. Now they have budded up to show 20 or more buds per plant. There have only been a few buds reach flowering stage so far and I have missed their first day blooms so do not have photos yet. I plan to check on them daily now so as to get fresh bloom photos. The bushes are worth taking photos of now, I think you will agree that they look very nice.
You mention strange form - being a fairly full double there are a lot petals that have to unfold without interfering with each other and that does not seem to always happen properly. Still, the second day flowers I've seen so far were mostly ok. I'll update this later when I've had more experience with the blooms.

I finally got around to taking some photos of the Georgia's Thunder plants we have in 2 gallon pots. Below are 2 - a bush photo and a bloom close-up photo.

Wow, Charles, the bush is really nice. I will have to work a bit on my GT plants. How old is that plant in the photo?
Is the bloom in the photo in its first or second day?

Hi Nina,
The top photo is a first day bloom and the bottom bush photo shows a second day bloom. That plant was a small liner in the early spring of 2009, grew somewhat slowly during the summer of 2009 following its first pruning and was then given a heavy pruning in late fall. It spent the winter of 09/10 in a heated greenhouse and then exploded with new growth in the spring of 2010 and the photo was taken this month shortly after being bumped up from a 2 gallon to a 5 gallon pot. Of interest to me all 30 or so of the plants followed almost exactly the same pattern of growth and look the same today or did before they shipped out.
It often does have trouble opening perfectly the first day, but usually sorts itself out later in the day or the next day.

Thanks, Charlie.
My GTs are about 9 months old, still not branched, and they have difficulty to open the first day. Also, they always have some pink color on only one or two petals of the bloom. The second day they are a pale version of your photo.
I have piched as soon as I have seen your bushes. So next spring they can be like yours!!!
ciao, Nina
