Gall midge

I don't know if any of you have ever had a problem with gall midge- this was a new one on me. I have been having a problem with bud drop the last 3 weeks or so, so i have been treating with Spinosad every 3-5 days with little impact. Chales told me about gall midge and what to look for. Many of the buds that dropped were small and bright yellow. I put them in a zip lock bag, and a few hours later there were tiny little yellow worms (larvae) visible. You can cut the buds open and see several of these little worms wiggling around. Has anybody had any experience with this pest? If you have bought any hibiscus from Florida, beware as this fly comes from Florida. I have been having this problem for several months and thought it was thrips!
