Charlie is there any thing more to say about this CV? You know how I don't like pinks but I think i love the way this CV looks. When you mention grows slow is it comparable to heartbreak hotel or Nightfire.

Hmm, sort of like those 2 but slower even, more like its parent Creme de la Creme. It's a big surprise that it roots at all since neither parent does (although grandparent Rainbow Christi does) but I wasted some of the first wood trying to root it with limited success. I plan to graft it from now on which should help get some plants out there sooner. It might grow faster as a grafted plant, too.

Hey Charlie,

Were you able to propagate any of these for next year?  I really seem to like many of CDLC offspring Smiley

Interesting you would ask about Jewel of the Nile. I've been eying the plants of it along with Maid of Honor trying to decide whether to root the wood or graft it. Neither worked very well last year rooted, but I have better stock this year and it might. I haven't decided yet but will have to go for it soon.

LOL seems like we are on the same wavelength alot.

I really hope that it works!  I really like maid of honor, but I remember you mentioning that its a large plant with large leaves.  Are the leaves large or is the whole plant just huge?  How about Jewel of the Nile, big or small?

If rooting doesn't work, you should go ahead and send me a stock plant Tongue

Thanks for checking on it!

 Hi Charlie,
I am new to the forum. I really would like to have Jewel of the Nile also. I will put my name on the waiting list. Thanks for the great website!

Welcome to the forum, Norm.

Both Jewel of the Nile and Maid of Honor are up in the air for now. They won't be in the store January 1 but like a lot of others will be added later. Cindy tries very hard to notify wait listees when the plants are about to be added.

Sad Are there any new ones that are probably going to be harder to come by due to difficulties with propagation?  I might need to set up some triage there, since Jewel of the Nile was one a waiting too long on trying to order last year and still hasnt made it back in the store Sad  Glad to see that you seem to be back online Smiley

Yes, particularly if someone asks for it.
