Copper Moon

Hello Gang:  I'm new here and really need some help.  I lost my Copper Moon plant several years ago and cannot find one for sale.  Does anyone have one they would be willing to part with or propagate for me to purchase.  This is an older culvitar (I think) and all of the online nurseries seem to have dropped it.  I originally bought it from HVH back in the 90's.  Your help locating a replacement will be greatly appreciated.
 .  Oh yes, if it helps at all:  Copper Moon is a tri-colored double.

Hi Jan,

Copper Moon has a very striking double flower, but the bush was too wild to deal with in a nursery setting. I would have kept it otherwise because the bloom is excellent. The best I can suggest is to check out the doubles offered in the 2010 HVH online store that will open the first week in January. We have several cup and saucer type doubles like Copper Moon in that range of colors and one might appeal to you.

I wrote sometime back asking about Copper Moon and was advised by Charlie to look at the new offerings in January.  Well, it's January and I've looked but don't see anything that looks similiar to Copper Moon under doubles or multi colored cultivars.  The key to Copper Moon's coloring, for me anyway, is the bronzey or copper colored parts.  It also has yellow or gold and, as I recall, red and/or orange.  Which of the new offerings would any of you suggest?  I really appreciate you all reading my monotonous requests and any help you may be able to offer.

Jan, though not exactly the same colors as Copper Moon because each is unique, I would suggest Delicious Fantasy, Island King, or Standing Ovation. These are all excellent double flowered varieties in the same general color range as Copper Moon. My experience with Copper Moon was that it did best planted in a garden but was not such a great potted plant. These others have nice growth habits and can be grown in pots so that they can be moved in winter.

Anyway, if I come across a Copper Moon I will graft a plant of it and let you know.
