I wanted to share my experience thus far with this cv, as it is one of my favorite Dupont hybrids that I've encountered. I ordered it in a batch of 6 cvs this spring, and it has outgrown my all the others in the batch by more than double.
The bush is well branched and full, upright, and responds very well to pruning. It seems to be pretty tolerant of "blunders" too. (hehe) The blooms in cooler weather (by cooler I mean mid to high 70s) open bright pink and blue and fade just a little bit during the day in full sun. Once temps reach the low 80s, though, the blooms become peach and grey, and in even higher temps, yellow and grey. All faces are attractive, and the flowers thus far have been well positioned and not floppy. Supposedly it is a good seed setter too, but I haven't tried.
Sorry I don't have any pictures. With all the spider mite drama my Creole Lady is still on the long road to recovery.

I'm glad to hear this. I also picked up some small ones and grew them to large size in 2 gallon pots, but they have been a slow seller. I agree that the bushes are vigorous, attractive, and present the flowers well. I've been surprised that they don't sell better because the blooms are pretty, 6-7" mostly, and show unusual colors that change with the conditions. We'll have a few large, blooming plants of Creole Lady at the Open House this coming weekend.
Below is a recent photos of the Lady.

I was going to start a thread on this cv but searched and found it in 2009--nothing since. Charlie said he didn't understand why it wasn't a good seller and I certainly agree. This bloom is one of my favorites. It opens with very vibrant colors that fade to a variety of other attractive combinations over 2-3 days. It was one of only two that I didn't put in the ground in late summer because I had run out of space but I am looking forward to planting it this spring. It's a really good bloomer and always presents the flowers well. If Charlie has any left I would recommend it highly.

Hi Ernest & Charlie, I have had really good success with this CV. It has been blooming steady over the winter in my greenhouse which has gotten down to 50 degrees at times. I like how this CV blooms look great the second day as they change their colors. Norm

Norm, I agree on all counts. Also the colors of the blooms seem to be less affected by winter weather than most of mine.

I was fooling around with the color adjustment on Picasa just to see what it did. So the orange edge may be a little more vibrant than real life, but pretty close.

Still a very nice color combo. Sort of reminds me of Sea of Tranquility which I sort of have my eye on...

I have Creole Lady its very nice !! Here are some pictures , this one blooms alot and likes full sun or some shade. It blooms so well under my t5 lights. The only draw back is, it does not set seed well or give good pollen. ( these are real colors btw) A very dark one mine didn't fade much since it was inside This is it outside with no fertilizer

Jordan, Erny, Charlie, this is also one of my favorites! And just so you know, It is being tourtered in my bedroom which doesn't get above 60º all winter... Still blooming too! (although small and not as pretty as the summer blooms) This summer I had it in the hot sun, it faded real quick. Both colors were beautiful, although next summer I will put it in a shady spot so the opening colors stay longer. Here is my bloom contribution for Creole Lady. This particular bloom was my best so far on this plant. Super Vibrant! And the colors are true in the photo, and as always, no color correction, just photoshoped to adjust the size of the file to fit on the forum. (only brought that up since it was questioned above) 2 morning shots and one afternoon

Kerry, beautiful shots. It looks a lot like how my Gabriel looks in the afternoon.

denise... i lost count... lol... it sure is a jungle in here. I currently have about 40 seedlings, most that are at my parents house for the winter. Here I probably have about 50 give or take. I gave a bunch away in the fall to random people to try to cut the numbers down. Ill have to take a count. Luckily the side of the house that faces all day sun is made up of all sliding glass doors. So I get as much sun as possible. BTW, CL is one to definitely get!
