Hello Charlie I been wanting to post about this a long time but could you PLEASE add an edit option ? I usually forget to add something or I misspell or post links that don't work, then I have to post again because I can not edit my first post.

I agree, man sometimes I read my posts and the grammar is off or I use words like: I think or the thing, in every sentence. It makes me crazy when I reread the post! lol

Funny enough, Cindy and I were just talking about that yesterday. As moderators we can modify any post and I have cleaned up a few for people where typos were making it harder to follow the meaning. Cindy is now looking for a way to allow editing by everyone of their own posts and will let us all know when she has something figured out.

Your wish is my command. You can now modify your posts!
Sorry guys! I thought you could always do this. I didn't realize you couldn't until yesterday when I logged in as another member to help him with a posting.

Hey Cindy,
It would be cool if we could publicize our profiles, and it contained a way to list all the cvs in our collections. That way we could show each other what we have. Come to think of it, if we could make a cv list that could include our own bloom/bush photos of each cv, kindof like a catalog, that would be awesome!!
(maybe a little of my type-A-ness showing here? lol)

A fun idea would be a "mystery hibiscus" thread where we can test our knowledge of certain cultivars. Someone could post a bloom or foliage photo and the rest of us could try to figure out which cv it is...
Childish maybe but still fun!

While lacking a specific place or way to do any of these suggestions, feel free to post any such in the Photos of the Month section. I'm sure there are people who would love to test their skills or share collection info. I'll discuss these ideas further with Cindy. Thanks for the suggestions!

Hi Jordan,
I made all our profiles viewable by members (but not by guests. People actually have to become members to see profiles.) There's a line called "Personal Text" that I put my cultivars in. I'm working on something better, but for now feel free to use that!
If you click on my name here anywhere it shows up as blue (like in the top left corner of this message), it will take you to my profile.
So now you guys need to upload pictures so we have faces to go with the names! :-)

Cindy, has the option to view profiles been disabled again? I get this error message: An Error Has Occurred! Many apologies, but you can't view just any profile.

Hi Uli,
I didn't see this message in March! Sorry! I set up the forum so we can each see our own profiles, but not anybody else's, for security reasons. Is this what you meant?

Hi everyone,
Members have requested that we have a way to put our location into our posts so other members have an idea of what kind of climate each of us is growing hibiscus in. The easiest way to do this is to click on the Profile tab above, then click on Forum Profile Information in the navigation bar at the left. Toward the bottom of this screen, there is a Signature box. You can put in your name, location, and anything else you want to add. This signature will automatically be added to all our posts.
I hope this helps!

Cindy, that's ok, I just had to laugh at the message I was able to put the location under my pic too. Great, this is really valuable.

I have another suggestion. Can we look at peoples profiles and send private messages ? I am on a bunch of other forums and this is the only forum I am on where you can pm someone
