Really nice winter blooms, Darren. Nice for any time of year actually.

You posted several that I have been using to make seeds this winter, Catharsis, Circle of Life, and Bohemian Rhapsody among many others.

Here is a photo of 2 Floral Bliss flowers, another favorite for hybridizing.

Hi, everyone in the forum. I am K. Vasanth Ram , living in Tamil Nadu, India. I love growing Hibiscus and have done my first hybridization in 2018, December by crossing two garden varieties and got 14 seedlings in which 5 seedlings are growing nicely and others have died in rain.. Thanks Charles and Cindy Black for accepting my request to join the HVH Forum and I am thankful to Mr. Darren Eminian for telling me how to join the forum.....

Welcome to the forum, Vishnath.

I curious to know about your growing conditions. Does Tamil Nadu have a tropical climate (no freezes)? Almost everyone in the USA has to deal with winter weather that includes some nights of freezing temperatures, this being a challenge to our hibiscus. Only southern California close to the ocean and perhaps far south Florida do not have these regular freezing nights. So many people who grow hibiscus have to grow them in pots so they can move them inside a greenhouse, house, or other protection during the coldest winter nights.

Mr. Charlie, here in Tamil Nadu we don't get any freezes in a whole year. The temperature in night during winters remains from 17°C to 25°C. So, we don't have any problems in growing Hibiscus outdoors.... And yes Tamil Nadu has Tropical Climate. The summer months range from 30°C to 39°C. And we get two rainy seasons, South West Monsoon (June to September) and North East Monsoon (October to December) ... From January to March 1 we have cooler weather and from March the summer months starts and ends in June 1.
