White Wings vs White versicolor

HI,  I have been looking at white wings and keep seeing two different flowers, one with red stigma pads and one with yellow stigma pads.   I noticed it on your white wings page too....   I have been looking all over, and found reference to a white versicolor - the flower with the yellow stigma pads.    just thought i would mention it - since figuring out the difference has been driving me nuts

Stigma pads are not always the same color on the same CV.
Stigma pads can be whatever color they want on the same CV and same day.
Sometimes stigma pads can be yellow, orange, red, or half and half on the same pad or sometimes you can have 2 different colored stigma pads on the same bloom.

You can have 2 different blooms open the same day and one bloom could have yellow stigma pads and the other bloom can have orange stigma pads.  

It seems as though temp, light, and conditions do not effect the color of the stigma pad from what I see with my blooms.
Certain CV's are known for having multi colored stigma pads like Pink Panther.   Some CV's never change their color of stigma pads.   I have not seen stigma pads fade or change colors after the bloom opens.

Stigma pad color can be a guide for identifying CV's but keep in mind they can be different colors.

The different colors and combination of stigma pad colors on Pink Panther is just 1 of the really cool features of this CV.  I  really like the look of bright yellow stigma pads on Pink Panther.
