What can anyone tell me about using Dawn liquid diluted as a pest control.  My collection has to over=winter in the house and by this time pests are starting to gain ground

Ellen,
In 1 of the past newsletters, there is info about dish soap and why you shouldn't use it.
I have used it before in a pinch.   It has some benefits but not worth the damage it can cause.
Leaves that get stress bubbles or crevasses where liquids can accumulate and take forever to dry, really show the damaging effects of oils and soaps when used in foliar sprays.
