Some nice blooms you had over the weekend Farmer D. Prosperity bush looks great.
A few 1st blooms over the weekend. The last 2 weeks in June really put a halt on things but the weather is improving now. After 7 months of straight pruning as a houseplant, Space Oddity is back. A little water damage lower petal. 1st bloom Laughing Fountain late morning 1st bloom Diamond Ring just before sunset.
Japanese Beetles are early this year and eating almost all the buds before they open including some of the foliage. Spraying hasn't worked because they much holes and eat inside the buds where you can't spray. Tarzan is getting the worst of it because of it's location.

Great Space Oddity photos, Kyle! And Darren, among the many beauties you posted those Ecstatic blooms are something else! The Blues Over You bloom hasn't hit its full summer stride yet, looking more like a winter bloom for you so far. Pretty soon it should break out with white markings that complete the effect!

Finally hit 80f today! Tarzan day 2 after holding up from yesterdays rain. Space Oddity opening through the foliage. Diamond Ring's eye and antique brown edges makes me really like this one. My Tsaritsa houseplant grew out of control and had to cut the large branches off. Its coming back real fast though.

Tarzan today showing crazy colors. A little deformed today as a 6th petal is hiding behind the top petals. Diamond Rings keeps getting better. A shiny gold forming around the spots are you kidding me?

Darren - amazing July blooms you have going on over there. That Ecstatic bloom is awesome!
Kyle - Really nice Space Oddity triples! Space Oddity was one of my first CV's, but suffered a major mite attack when I was away one year and I wasn't able to bring it back. If I had more room I would get another as I love how the colors change from day 1-2.
Here's a few multiple bloomers from the last couple weeks:
Acapulco Gold - AG will always be one of my favorites. Boy does this CV suck in water and ferts! The colors have really been varying on the flowers this summer which of course I love!
Bright Hope - This CV continues to impress and put out super nice blooms.
Dixie Belle - Same for DB, here with triples.
Creme de Cacao - CdC has been strange for me this year as you may be able to tell from this set of doubles. The blooms seem to be really crisp or firm, not soft like most blooms and the ends are frayed at times. The blooms also seem smaller than last year and seem to be cupped. I had been keeping it indoors before bringing it out for the summer, so perhaps its still adjusting. If anyone has any experience with issues like this, I'd love to hear your feedback.
Silver Lining - SL can be put in the same category as Bright Hope and Dixie Belle for me. Always blooming, and always with more than one boom at a time. When Darren posted the greenhouse photos some time back I was eagerly anticipating this CV and it has not disappointed at all.

Next up are some newer bloomers I've recently had...
Sea of Tranquility - One of my most wanted for quite some time, thanks to Farmer D's beautiful posts. Here is my first bloom - looking forward to many more!
White Hot - Second bloom here on White Hot. Had this CV for over a year and it took a while for it to take off and had to be kept indoors over winter. Now it has multiple buds on it and is starting to take off. Well worth the wait!
Thunder Egg - Thunder Egg is a really interesting CV and I'm loving the gold specks i'm now starting to see outdoors.
True Love - True Love is finally budding up after teasing me with one bloom then nothing for several months. Here's the first bloom of what should be many.
Lyrical - I have Lyrical indoors and it has been dealing with some mites, but here's a bloom from the other day.

A few from the last few days, both indoors and out.
Rainbow Christie is starting to bud up outdoors. Meanwhile, Blue Ballerina is starting to fill out and put on multiple buds indoors, receiving approx. 2-3 hours of direct sunlight per day.
I wanted to show Sugar Kisses as it a really fast grower with beautiful leaves and flowers to match. I have this plant growing indoors under T5 lighting and it's doing really well under artificial lights. Sorry if the pictures of SK are distorted by the florescent lighting.

Wonderful photos from Darren, Kyle, and David. I have a lot of catching up to do. I was experiencing lots of bud drop earlier this summer. Now it is greatly improved after two doses of spinosad.
