Charlie was nice enough today to let Erny & I visit the greenhouse for a bit. Always a pleasure to spend time there and talk hibiscus. Many plants were so tall they were hitting the shade cloth covering way up high. Good thing it is time to start pruning for wood to start next year's cuttings. You're always so busy!!!
Concerto was very impressive in person (and big) as well as Adventure being very impressive for me as well (and big too).

On our last visit we were blown away by Chai Tea and the metallic black speckles it had. Greenie Meanie had similar markings on it as well and is really something to see in person.
Mango Tango was a colorfest of fun!

Orange You Pretty is also very impressive in person. I never gave it a second thought until today. Very colorful and huge - stands out from very far away.
Red Cape surprised us with such a large pink eye and veining on a giant bloom. Very nice!
And Santa Fe was very pretty in orange with that pink eye - again seeing it in person you see how special they are!

Tony the Tiger was very pretty in person with a lot of colors and very large bloom. On the wish list it goes...

I think we all agreed today the best bloom we saw was Typhoon. Big & Bad!!! It has a lot of layers of colors including a green one which unfortunately my camera didn't pick up. Very impressive!
We were also very impressed by Venetian Pepper. The colors are so strong and clean - another one you can see from very far away

This next seedling bloom was on the small side but it is absolutely stunning as it is actually silver. Not grey - shiny silver with silver petaloids!!! I never knew this was even possible - very special

Darren, great job with the photos. I had no idea you were taking that many. That silver seedling was outstanding and is actually quite blacker than it appears in the photo. I think we can put it on Chris' Wish List right now (as well as mine).
