I hope anyone dealing with Hurricane Sandy is ok - pretty amazing to see the flooding currently taking place in Manhattan.  The flooding is bad enough but then you add in downed power lines and that is very scary.  Our thoughts are with you...

Paul - your pumpkin totally rocks!!!  I have been thinking about doing that for a few years now and I might just use yours as a template to do the same.  Totally awesome!!!!

Erny - WWWWWOOOOOOOWWWWWW Sun Showers bush is a dream!

Today was a great day with a lot of variety of blooms so beware lots of colors and pics....

Kristen, Louis and Paul - My thoughts are with you all... I hope that you and yours are all safe and warm (and dry!)

This storm is a monster... We're even getting a taste of it this far north and west (45 mph wind & freezing rain).

Paul - LOVE your hibiscus pumpkin
Darren - Awesome blooms... Welcome back!

Some blooms from the wintry North (before our power goes, too)...

Merkity, I don't know anything about the pads. Hopefully Charlie and/or Chris can answer your question.
Darren, great pics as always. You should get viable seed from that Celadine pod but the growth from seed with plumeria is so slow that it usually isn't worth the trouble.
Deb, thanks for sharing photos of Space Oddity. I don't recall seeing it on the Forum in recent months and the multi-banded blooms are among my favorites.

Kristen, I imagine that you're without power up there in Connecticut, but I hope you and your hubby, your hibiscus, your animals, and your new greenhouse are all safe! Our thoughts are with you!!!!!

Well Hurricane/Super Storm/Schizophrenic Sandy brought an interesting surprise to our area this morning. There is about an inch of snow/sleet/freezing rain out there. We weren't supposed to get snow in our area. But the next county over is predicted to get up to 2 feet of snow when all is said and done, so I guess I can't complain. Many people are far worse off than I. My thoughts and prayers go out to those who are having a harder time with this storm.

But the snow wasn't the only surprise this morning. I got a nice bloom on Scarlet Beauty this morning. (I may be having SB Triplets if the other two buds open too!) Thought it would look nice next to the snowy background.
