While watching the World Series there is, fortunately, ample time between innings to post some photos. Our Santa Ana winds have thankfully died down but the flowers are still showing some of the deleterious effects.

Darren, when you have an irrigation system that does not have enough water flow for all emitters the easiest solution is to install pressure compensating emitters - often designated with the initials PC. These insure that all emitters on the line emit the same amount of water. They cost a little more than regular emitters but if there is sufficient water they do work well. If there is just not enough pressure or water then they can't fix that but they do a good job of spreading water evenly along the drip line.

Great photos everyone! Ernie I particularly like your Blue Ballerina and Gentle on My Mind shots.

Thank you Erny and Charlie for the information and suggestions.  I will look into the pc emitters, not sure if that is what I had on them originally or if it was something different.

Second day blooms on T Princess and Tutti Frutti - both look great!

Also dug up Bonnie Lass today and I am really surprised to see all the main roots I saw when I replanted it rotted and gone.  At least there are more small feeder roots this time and an actual small rootball.  Overall it was much worse off than I thought - yikes!

David, thanks for the garden shot. Seeing your garden always makes my day.
Darren and Charlie, I started out using the adjustable emitters and they work fine on relatively short lines but not so well on the longer ones with lots of emitters. I have replaced a lot of the latter with the pressure compensating droppers and they seem to work better there.
Some blooms from today:
Vin Beaujolais
Ruby tuesday
A couple of different Passion flowers--great for people who like lots of butterflies.

Looks like Kristin and I are in the same boat. Figured I'd post this in case Hurricane Sandy knocks out my power for a few days. Got a nice bloom on my Deep Waters. Also carved a hibiscus pumpkin. Am I addicted or what? LOL

Happy Halloween everybody!

Paul, very nice Deep Waters and the pumpkin is outstanding.
Kristen, what vibrant colors. Are the photos taken in your new greenhouse?
Rocket's Red Glare
Angel's Wings
Sun Shower profusion--the bush is about 7' tall and 5-6' in diameter.
