John I totally agree - every year time just goes by faster and faster. Lovely blooms too!
Geneva that Satsuma is really impressive - impressive like this heat today! Wow - another scorcher for sure, at least here it didn't get to 100F (but really really close). What is nice about these really hot days is AG fades really fast so by early afternoon it is already sporting a nice orange and yellow look - a lot of nice ones from her today...

Great photos everyone. Darren, aren't you leaving for Kauai soon? Be on the lookout for "lobster claw" varieties of Heliconia and for Jade vine. They can be pretty spectacular over there. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get them to grow here.

Paul, its all looking good!
Standouts today:
Magic Crystal: never get tired of this combination of colors on a VERY prolific plant. Grows and blooms like cinnamon girl, but with much brighter colors.
Torch Song: Huge bloom 8 inches, and excellent color. Fly me to the Moon pollen went strait to this one!
Winter Lights x Black voodoo seedling, it has alot of potential as a breeder I think. The color is a nice red, but with blue and brown genes. Interesting result, much like "The right stuff" which also has blue and brown parents (Renn Blue x Wallflower) and is red. Come to think of it Black voodoo has Renn blue as a parent, coincidence?
