Turflon Ester will ony prevent the spread. Once in the lawn it must be killed with a herbicide. It is a serious pest once it spreads. My gardener brought mine in with poor sanitary practices.
Len I don't know how serious your invasion is but at my worst point I'd say almost a third of my lawn was taken over. I know Turflon doesn't kill it off completely but I was really surprised at how little was left after a couple of spraying sessions. In the end I just weeded out the remaining patches and I have only a few sporadic areas pop up every year which get knocked out when I spray for my ever present pest - bermuda grass. Again not sure what grass you have too which I'm guessing can be a factor too. I hear you on the gardener issue that is why I haven't had one in 7 years. Time consuming but totally worth it - my lawns are close to looking like carpet these days. Farmer D

Everyone's blooms are looking sooo amazing!Darren & Ernie - Your blooms are just beautiful... Simply stunning Looks like today was our last warm & sunny summer day here in MI; Lots of 40ºF nights in the forecast... Time for the herd to start migrating back inside The 'biscus had one final outdoor bloom party; I had to work late and missed most of it, but fortunately they waited... Deb

I will have to use it more then. Kikuyu grass is the most invasive grass species for SoCal now. Hard to get rid of in the lawn. I do all my planter bed gardening. I just have a mow and blow guy. But you are right, it is always best to do it yourself.

Thanks John. Really Red is even better than it looks in the photos. It maintains its form and color very well through the second day and isn't too bad on the third day either. Another really nice red with a different hue is Ruby Tuesday which is also turning out to be a prolific bloomer. also: Silver Dragon Rainbow Sherbert Cindy's heart
