Happy 4th of July to all!

1st bloom for Moorea Imperial Blossom.  The plant is beat up from shipping and day 2 of the bloom but you can see some neat patterns on this one...

Very nice pics Mike. I know the heat will effect the flowers but do the plants seem to mind temps. that high? I have my 4 inch hibs in the green house still because it has been 53 at night and mid 70's in the day. It has been over 100 degrees in the greenhouse but the plants seem to like it.

Hi Norm
Some of them do Ok , I won't say great but ok , over here its been 102 deg to 107 for about 2 weeks but it's dry & not humid . I have to water every day and lots of Kontos and the ones that wilt real bad get to stay in the house  Grin . See if they were all smart they would all wilt real bad and they would all get to stay inside haha .
Darren here is a picture of the cutting again later in the day it's Voodoo Queen , very pretty .

Nice pics!

That branch of torch song seems to be a sport, every bloom has looked speckled with flecks of pick.  Definatly more than a color change seen in most sports.

Riptide day two and plant Smiley   Not really a bush since it flowered so young, but the plant is  very upright.

Mike that is some tough weather for you and your hibs to have to live with for long stretches.  Great job to all of you to get them to keep blooming and hanging in there.  My hat's off to you all...

Chris those blooms are looking good!

Darren, all your blooms are amazing!

Have to agree with that, absolutely stunning.
Darren a question I have and I hope it makes sense. You spray your plants a lot, I am not sure but maybe even daily, the question I have is do you put less water [as in the drench method] in the ground or in the pot as a result, is the run off from your spraying enough to feed and water the plants.

I have a good reason for asking, I have got myself in a bit of a pickle by overwatering some of my plants [I only use the drench method], in fact I have 2 or 3 that are actually drowning and will need to be re-potted.
