Can't help but to look at what goodies are uploaded on the HVH database for 2012 and this is one that caught my eye.  What a fantastic new CV!  Is this one like Jason Blue Charlie?  I really hope the bush is like Stolen Kiss as that has one of the nicest bushes Ive seen Smiley

If anyone wants to see what this beauty looks like!

Chris, this one will be in the store when it opens Dec 30. The bush is more upright than Stolen Kiss - more like the other parent Long Tall Sally. It's brand new this year so we have more to learn about it as you all grow it in various situations. Really nice eye on it, imo.

the eye is amazing charlie, looks like Mango Madness's genes are coming out there.  I really like the bush of Long Tall Sally, her blooms are shocking bright pink, but don't last too well in summer desert sun, but regardless is one of my Mom's favorites.  Man I hope that I can manage to get it on Dec 30th, unfortunately the internet at the field station is not so great, I predict the possibility of sold out disappointment.  Sad

I do not know much about Mango Madness, which is parent to now three CVs I have (Cinnamon Girl, Long Tall Sally, and Silver Dragon), what is your experience with that one?

I lost Mango Madness quite a few years ago but it was a good, solid cultivar that I hybridized with for a couple of seasons. I liked its unusual eye zone and its ability to make spots along the edge of the flowers during hot weather. The bush was upright, well branched and bloomed better than average. It wasn't highly prized by some because the flowers weren't huge, running 6 to 7 inches, but size is not the only criteria in my opinion. It's hard not to love a big 9-10 inch flower but the smaller ones have their own advantages.

Anyway, below are a couple of photos that show different looks of Mango Madness.

Charlie thanks alot for you comments on Mango Madness.  With these pictures I can really see the resemblance to Cinnamon Girl, on IHS it is not as obvious.

Its sad when we lose the good oldie CVs isnt it? I still miss my Burnished Gold, but at least she lives on in her seedlings.

LOL  Should have known my fellow geek would find the new pages as fast as I load them! I just started loading them yesterday! Too funny, Chris!

I'd better get back to work... Yikes! The deadline is looming and earlier than ever this year!

Merry Christmas everyone!

There are some good new ones Cindy! I am already forming my pre-list LOL, sadly my internet situation is touch and go here in rural western WA.  If we have any sort of stormy weather, it goes out Sad   I hope that my iphone keeps "talking" to the cell tower across the bay...
