Centerpiece =The central or most important feature haha, poor Erny I think he has been suggested just about every cv and if he puts in 3 which one is the centerpiece. Kerry of coures is different, she is building a small garden outside the house, and wow!!! what a house by the way,it looks gorgeous, of course she also has a big advantage as she owns one of the worlds largest Hibiscus collections, haha I bet now there will be a lot more than 9 Hibs out there.

How is the bush for Climax? The bloom is amazing but I remember reading somewhere the bush wasn't as nice as some of the others mentioned above. That has been what's stopped me from getting it.

Hey Darren, The Bush of Climax is supposed to be pretty good. Most of Barry's CVs usually have nice bushes, with the main hang up being vigor. Many of his CVs are not super vigorous, but given time, grow into nice plants. I do not have alot of experience with his CVs, Kerry and Charlie are much more seasoned on his plants. Here is a pic Charlie took of Climax multiples, the plant looks nice and strong, not floppy at all and I bet will be much more full in the ground. David, you're right; I need to put quotation marks around the word "centerpiece" especially since I am now going to enlarge that spot and am looking to carve a few other planters out of the lawn. Earlier you asked about emailing to discuss plumeria. My address is ernestncurtis@aol.com. Erny

The few Climax bushes I have grown were strong but didn't branch a whole lot. In my situation it tends to bloom in flurries with long times between the flurries. Nice bright flower but I think you can do better overall.

Thank you Charlie for chiming in with your experience. Looking at your pics of Climax it looks a lot like Exuberance. I have this CV already and I've only had it since May as a 4" but man it is growing fantastically. And that is in a shady spot too which is challenging for a young little plant. I am content to stick with what I have in this situation.
Sorry to do this to you Erny but Exuberance is a beauty too with a bush that is growing into a nice full shape with lots of branches and it likes to bloom too. I have to recommend you take a look at it too if Climax has your attention.
It has two great parents for sure so no doubt this one will do really well. That is why I purchased it last new years. Great job again Charlie - this one is awesome!
Last pic is from HVH online store

Thanks a lot Darren. In football we would have to call a penalty for piling on. But that is a good looking cv. I recall seeing it somewhere on this forum before and thinking that it was really nice. It will have to go into the mix.

I'm glad to hear that Exuberance is working out for you, Farmer D. Coincidentally, a nice group of new Exuberance plants came out of the propagation area last week, just in time to be included in the store opening Dec 30.

Good one Erny,"piling on". How appropriate and it gave me a good laugh to start the morning. Great pics of Exuberance Darren. I had forgotten about this one. What a beauty!!! Good grief Charlie, another one for my Dec. 30th buy list. Glad to see you'll have several available, maybe I can get one this time. lol

Hi Darren, I have absolutely no complaints. It grows upright, branches well and has a very good shape.

Hal thanks for your experience with Climax. I really like the bloom on this one and it has an interesting pedigree (Georgia's Pearl x Jason Blue). With your blessing I think I will try this one out. Climax is a bright one, but still has an interesting blue metallic eye which you don't see that often. Lately all the bright CVs seem very similar to one another, so it's nice to find one that has an interesting bloom and nice bush.

Its actually my bf's they are remodeling the exterior of house and making an awesome garden. It all looks lovely and will be great to see the pictures when its all finished. I think you may know I read this Forum with Kim An each day as part of her English lessons and laugh the other day, I showed her Erny's house and her comment was ''wow!! its fallen over'', now that may not seem funny to you but below is a picture of a typical Nha Trang house; 12 feet wide very tall and very deep and the compete opposite of Erny's.

Darren,
I've been reading more about climax and it is one of those CVs that performs best when planted in a pot larger than three gallons or in the ground. The bush can become a monster, I guess Barry's plant of it in the ground is about 7 feet tall. I kinda want you to try one in your yard, because you can just get CVs to go crazy!

Chris I fully support any way for hibiscus plants to get crazy!!! I'm very seriously considering it as I've had my eye on it for over a year now. Farmer D
