Here is another new CV introduced at the beginning of 2011 by Charlie.  I originally chose this one because the colors of the blooms looked like a nice blend of orange, red and brown which is in between what I already have so I thought it would add more variety to my color spread.  I also think very highly of the parents Saffron and Heartbreak Hotel and that would contribute to a strong, pretty and dependable bush which is important to me for outside landscaping purposes.

Boy has this bloom impressed and really surprised me.  There is a lot of color to them and they are always changing which is very exciting.  I thought it would be a solid colored bloom but there is a lot of pattern and variation in colors for each bloom.  I wonder if HBH's genes are helping out in this area.  Furthermore this plant likes to bloom a lot and it shows a lot of strength in growth and budding.

I'm very happy with this CV as it was not one of my top favorites when I ordered it but it has definitely worked it's way towards the top of my list.

Wow, Darren, very cool!  All that variation definitely looks like the influence of Heartbreak Hotel. Every time it blooms, the flower is a new surprise. I love surprise varieties like that! How is your bush developing? The lower, rounder Heartbreak Hotel bush, or the taller Saffron bush?

It is great to hear your excitement for this CV.  I also really enjoy some variety in the blooms and wonder what I'll see when one opens up each time.

As for the bush so far it looks like it is more Saffron with it growing more upright but I am spraying it with SN continuously to stimulate branching.  The bush just seems so strong and wants to produce a lot of buds constantly even in the hot and sunny spot it is in.

Here is a pic of the bush and another spectacular bloom from today.  Probably the prettiest so far.  The gold spotting on the edges really surprised me and I'm loving it to death...
