How can you go wrong with the daughter of Saffron and Chariots of Fire? When I saw this new seedling in 2011 I knew not only that I loved the clean, bright and energetic colors of the bloom but that the plant is going to be amazing. With my experience with COF (monster of hib plants) and the reputation of Saffron there is no doubt this one will be one big super bloomer in a few years. This will get a primo spot in a new planter right in front of my home's porch to showcase the best hibs I got. My porch is almost 4' above the planter in front of it so I need some really full, lush plants to work this spot. I know Daisy Mae will fit the bill here. Can't wait for more blooms and to watch this beauty grow and grow and grow...    Farmer D |

Darren, we've only shipped a few Daisy Mae plants so far so there may not be much feedback for awhile. Your comments are encouraging, and match what I hoped to see with the offspring of Chariots and Saffron.

Long overdue for an update on this CV. I really like this one a lot. It not only has a great bush but this plant has some unbelievable vigor. It is a very strong and determined plant. Again it also responds quite well to being sprayed with Supernova and it is showing signs now of wanting to go into monster mode like Chariots of Fire.
If you want an eye catcher from across the street or some other really far distance away this is it. The yellow on these blooms is so rich, vibrant and clear it is kind of hard to believe it is real. I had some family friends come over recently and their 4 yr old son kept going back to the Daisy Mae blooms and asking his mom if they were real. Awesome!
The yellow and dark red eye really contrast well to heighten the color radiance. Don't think this is just another typical yellow hibiscus bloom.

Daisy Mae is certainly an eye catching bloom. The bush is great on Daisy Mae also.

 I don't have any flowers right now , but daisy mae has a monster bush the one on the left is daisy mae , the one on the right is heavens glow their both over 3 feet tall . I just down sized the pot they were in I had them in a 14' pot and moved them to a 12' pot & I didn't even have to trim the roots they fit just fine in the smaller pot so they were over potted . that should help them flower better .
