Great! Hopefully we will have some luck in getting them.

I also forgot to add Raging Bull to the list. We had one until last week with a beautiful 1st bloom, but some Idiot I am guessing ripped it out of the pot that it was in. So we have decided to plant Albo and a couple of garden types in the front yard and keep all the beautiful hybrids in the backyard.

Someone seriously stole you hibiscus from your front yard!? WoW, I can't believe that someone would do that!  I guess that's why we don't see them growing in front yards in southern California...

Unfortunately our front yard is almost the sidewalk and we have experienced some Issues with kids walking down the street after school, so I think it was a situation where the plant was not that big, coupled with a beautiful big flower and some moron trying to Impress his girlfriend.

We have had others that were not touched, probably because they were not blooming yet, or maybe that the flower was not as desirable, who knows. Anyway, we are changing things up.

Hal, that's awful!  I would be using so many expletives.....

We hear stories about plant thieving from time to time. Palms are big targets around here, being expensive and easy to dig up. With hibiscus the complaint is more often about the flowers being picked than outright theft but it can happen.

Cindy is switching to a system of store update alerts for those who sign up for this. But, she will also continue to work with those waiting list requests already in place so anyone on it for Vin Extraordinaire will be contacted when they are ready. She's planning a different system for the future but hasn't got the details worked out yet.

I rank Christmas decorations and expensive tropical plants as unfortunate targets of theft in So Cal.

When planning my front yard garden last year I decided the sidewalk facing planter would have the $5.99 daisies as well as on the driveway with hibiscus a little more safe facing the interior of my lawn surrounded by a brick fence. 

I wonder if someone could make money doing security just to protect landscaping?

Would make for an interesting ADT advertisement on TV when their security agent is calling your home in the middle of the night due to a plant theft in progress...

I know, it's funny and not funny at the same time.

I knew someone would steal these plants !

When I get into a house I am going to have a fence around my yard ! my dogs will have access to the front also so I doubt anyone wants to get bit by my future GSD lol

I'm a little late but speaking of plant thefts I read on a daylily forum that while a family was on vacation their entire daylily collection of a few hundred daylilies was stolen out of their front yard and fenced backyard. Can't remember where that occurred but just reading it made my blood boil.

I had some nice bearded iris many years ago before I discovered hibiscus and had a few bloom stalks cut off and removed from my front yard garden. It was the first blooms from a new plant which made it particularily maddening and had to wait a year to see its blooms for the first time. One reason I don't do iris anymore. I've also seen people walk into neighbors yards and snap off rose blooms. I keep all my showier blooming plants in my fenced back yard now. Some people just have no class, character, or ethics apparently. It isn't always kids around here.

Dave, tough break on the irises!  People make me nuts sometimes. 

It is a really good idea to always be decent to all neighbors and strangers too cause if you upset the wrong person your house and landscaping become easy revenge targets.  It's hard sometimes when you know their in the wrong and deserve to hear about it...
