Title: Angel's Wings Post by: Doll on October 10, 2010, 12:43:27 PM Charlie, could you post a pic of the bush on this one?
Title: Re: Angel's Wings Post by: Charlie on October 10, 2010, 07:54:46 PM OK, but the flower is the only reason to buy this cv. Big and pretty, while the bush is not much to look at. Have to take a photo of a bush and then will post it.

Here is my first bloom on angle wings today the plant's about 1 foot tall & the flower is half that size !! Thats a pretty large flower for such a small plant. hahaha !! I just went and measured my plant the plant is 11" tall and the flower is 81/2" across . :o Title: Re: Angel's Wings Post by: Charlie on January 23, 2011, 06:29:12 AM Wow, is that an outdoor flower in January in Arkansas? Amazing. Or I suppose it could be in a pot and moved outdoors to take the photo. In either case an 8 inch plus flower in January is impressive. Most of the Angel's Wing flowers I have seen have been in this size range, but occasionally it will expand up to 10 inches in our conditions and be extra impressive. To my eye the soft colors are prettier than most photos show. Strawberry Cream is similar in that way, although it has more of a Byron Metts like heavy texture.
Thanks for showing! I use your fertilizer almost every time I water , I give them a break sometimes and just use water so I don't over fertilize , Also use the extra boost potassium. |
